The Collaboration across Boundaries 2018 conference aims to create a space where the attendees can explore the opportunities collaboration can create for their research.
To facilitate opportunities to make and keep the connections made at the event, registered delegates have the opportunity to access a conference delegate app. The app will contain useful information about the event, such as the agenda for the day, the list of presenters and attendees.
The app will help keep the event as paper-free as possible and will allow registered delegates to have all the information at their fingertips.
Registered delegates will receive an email with the information how to download and access the app.
Conferences are a great way to meet new collaborators and expand your research networks.
The delegate app includes a 'Contact exchange' option to facilitate your opportunities to connect and exchange details with the people you meet at Collaboration across Boundaries 2018. We hope you will find it useful.
What to do? Click the 'Contact exchange' icon in the app. Select 'Scan contact', and scan the QR code on the other person's name badge* (your phone might request you grant the app permission to access camera to be able to scan contacts).
Confirm you would like to add the contact to your list.
You can check your contacts and add notes to each contact by clicking the 'Contacts' menu option.
At end of the conference select 'Export' to receive an Excel spreadsheet with all the contacts you made at the conference via email.
*Some delegates using the web browser version in their laptops might find this option might not be available in their laptop.
