About the event

Collaborative solutions that bring together ideas from diverse disciplines and sectors, with teams that include people from different career stages and experience levels enable innovation.

Australia is facing intractable challenges that put its environmental, economic and social future at risk. Innovative solutions that seek to address these challenges are expected to come from collaborations that break free from restrictive boundaries.

Emerging researchers working to solve these challenges often encounter boundaries that are discipline, sector, career stage or age specific which limit the reach and impact of their work. By creating opportunities for researchers to build collaborations across these boundaries, we open the door to possible breakthroughs that can help secure Australia’s future.

The Collaboration across Boundaries 2018 Conference, supported by the Theo Murphy Initiative (Australia), will create a space where researchers from diverse disciplines and sectors can meet and explore opportunities and collaborations that can further their ideas.
