Accessibility grants

The EMCR Forum is committed to foster a fair, equitable and inclusive STEM sector by providing EMCRs with opportunities to further their career.

Thanks to the support from Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre, our Diversity and Inclusion partner, we are pleased to be able to provide a number of accessibility grants to support a diversity of EMCRs to attend and engage in the activities of Science Pathways 2021.

The accessibility grants are designed to offset expenses that can affect your participation in the event, including but not limited to:

  • Caring support: financial support for childcare or babysitting
  • Travel and accommodation: air/train/bus fare and/or hotel booking
  • Technology: internet access, purchase of headsets, etc.
  • Complimentary registration for one or more days for the conference.

We recognise that these categories alone may not cover all possible needs in terms of accessibility for participating in the conference, so please feel free to submit an alternative use of this grant for consideration by the EMCR Forum.

Please note, there are a limited number of grants available. The EMCR Forum will make their selection with the aim of increasing inclusion/diversity amongst conference participants.

If you are successful in receiving a grant, there will be an expectation that you will attend the conference the day you selected support for.

Applications are now closed.
