Science at the Shine Dome is the Australian Academy of Science’s flagship event. Australia’s science community gathers at the Shine Dome in Canberra to celebrate science and to honour outstanding achievements in science. It is also a valuable networking opportunity for Academy Fellows, early- and mid-career researchers, government representatives, politicians, media, science associated organisations, and the science-interested general public.
This year, Science at the Shine Dome will be a four-day event, held between Monday 9 and Thursday 12 September. Fellows elected in 2023 and 2024 and award recipients from 2023 and 2024 will all be recognised across the event. The event will also celebrate the Academy’s 70th anniversary. Find out about our event artwork.
Our newest Academy Fellows from 2023 and 2024 will be formally admitted to the Australian Academy of Science on Monday and Tuesday. All are invited to join us to celebrate the significant achievements of the Academy’s new Fellows.
Each new Fellow will present their work and achievements. For more details, please visit the Program page.
