ABOUT

The Genomes and Biodiversity: Research and Career Development Workshop is a three-day event for early- and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) in the life sciences. The workshop will create a space for EMCRs and research leaders from a range of disciplines to meet and share their latest research.

Each day will offer unique opportunities for the attendees:

Day one

Get inspired. Hear from Australian and international research leaders in the field. Opportunities for attendees to present short talks are available.

A networking opportunity will be available the end of the sessions to engage and make connections in a relaxed environment.

Day two

Hands-on training in analysis of big data delivered by experts in genomics, phylogenomics, biodiversity analysis, and pathogen biology.

Day three

Career development sessions focused on mentoring and finding your signature strengths, facilitated by an expert in inclusive leadership.

Opportunity to present a short talk

As part of the program on day one, applicants interested in showcasing their research are invited to include a proposed title for a 10-minute talk when submitting an expression of interest.

Please be aware that there are limited spaces for talks. The organising committee will review and allocate presentations to aim for a diversity of research areas and speakers.

Applications to present a short talk are now closed.
