There are different options to learn more about the event, JSPSAAA and the opportunities to showcase your research at the symposium.

Symposium information session

A 60-min online information session was hosted on 12:30 pm AEST on Tuesday 29 June 2021

The session was an opportunity to learn more about the event, including mobility and carer support options. And learn about how you can showcase your research at the symposium, collaboration opportunities between Australia and Japan, and more.

Submit an abstract to present at the symposium

Researchers of all career stages are invited to submit an abstract to present their work as part of the symposium under one of the following themes: Health, Advanced materials and manufacturing, Energy, Food, Environment, Large research infrastructures, and Relationships, institutions and society.

PhD students and early- and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) are strongly encouraged to submit an abstract as they are the main audience for Theo Murphy Initiative (Australia) supported activities.

There are opportunities to present your research in person or online, and as an oral presentation or a poster. Mobility and accessibility support are available to presenters. These funds can be used to cover travel and accommodation for presenters outside of Sydney, pay for caring and accessibility costs, and more. Let us know the type of support you would like to receive to facilitate your attendance if you are selected to present at the symposium.

Abstract submission deadline is currently open and will close on 28 February 2022.
