Delegates may apply for assistance with caring responsibilities to allow them to travel to, and participate in, Science at the Shine Dome 2024. Assistance is available to those with caring responsibilities at home, including, but not limited to, caring for a family member who has a disability, mental illness, chronic condition, terminal illness, or who is frail, aged, or vulnerable. This assistance can be used to access care arrangements at home, or to travel with those they care for.
Applications will be eligibility checked, and where eligible, approval will be advised within a fortnight of submission or by 5.00pm AEST Monday 2 September - whichever is sooner. Where applications are successful, funding will be released within a week of approval being advised.
The Academy will endeavour to support as many applications as possible, and applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Once the available grant funding is exhausted, the application portal will automatically close and any incomplete or unsubmitted applications will not be accepted.
